Freight Scope: Global Reduction of Short Lived Climate Pollutants and GHGs from the Freight Sector

Description

Launched on 21 November, 2013 at the recently-concluded COP19 climate meeting, the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC)'s  Green Freight Call to Action [.pdf] draws attention to the need to reduce the emission of short-lived climate pollutants from the freight sector. This Global Green Freight project will bring together leading countries, corporations, experts and NGOs to put in place best-practices in countries around the world to reduce energy use and black carbon emissions from the freight sector.

The Global Green Freight project is one of the activities under the CCAC's Heavy Duty Diesel Vehicle Initiative. Clean Air Asia, which is a non-state partner in the CCAC, is a co-lead of the Global Green Freight Project.
