The objective of the Seminar is for Chinese governmental officials, enterprises and other organizations involved in freight in China to:

  • hear about China’s plans to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions from freight;
  • learn about international best practices; and to
  • discuss approaches and next steps for green freight development in China.

The broader aim is to establish a green freight partnership of private sector and other organizations as part of efforts to establish a Green Freight China Program that will cover:

  • clean technologies

It is crucial that practical knowledge and experience from private enterprises be captured in the development of such a program in China.
